The Clean and Flexible Greenhouse Heating System |
| TubeHeat Greenhouse heaters are made from non-corrosive seamed, polished aluminium tube, making them extremely tough and durable. |
|
An extensive range from 1' to 12' in length, available in 60 or 60
watts per foot (80 wpf standard for greenhouses) making them economical
to run. Available singly or in multiple tiers for neat space saving
installation and easily attachable to floors and walls. Suitable for
any size greenhouse, lean-to or cold frame. Each unit is supplied fully made up with brackets and a one metre length of cable complete with a plug. You do not have to do it yourself! |
| Thermostats are available if you want automatic heat control, allowing you to leave your greenhouse to look after itself for weeks and even months. Safety guards are also available if required. |
How To Work Out What Size Heater You Need |
| The size and configuration of the tubular heaters you require for your greenhouse, lean-to or cold frame, will depend on the size of the location, the heat you wish to maintain and the external ambient temperature. |
| For example: A 6' x 8' glass greenhouse with a desired standard minimum temperature of 45°F (7°C), allowing for the outside ambient temperature to drop to 20°F(-7°C). |
| * Calculate the total glass area of the sides, end and roof sections = 200 sq. ft. |
| * 200x10 = 2000 watts. Total watts required from your tubular heaters. |
| * A 6' quad heater or alternatively a 6' triple and a 4' double as shown in the table below based on 80 wpf, would provide the total watts required. |
| If you would like us to work out for you the size and number of tubular heaters you require simply telephone or write providing us with the size of your greenhouse and the temperature at which you require it to be kept. |
